Platform status
Know which RepoTunnel behaviors are packaged versus natively validated.
Guides follow the current project source. Check the release notes for your installed version.
Linux
Primary live-validated development platform. Linux supports managed-process reattachment after a full RepoTunnel restart.
Windows
Packages are produced for x64. Command isolation uses AppContainer + Job Object. Native UI Automation adapters exist and require native compatibility validation for specific runtime claims.
macOS
Apple Silicon and Intel DMGs are produced. The current command sandbox uses Seatbelt compatibility. Update discovery is supported while in-app update installation remains intentionally disabled pending verified recovery safety.
What “supported” means
Release packages exist for Linux x64, Windows x64, macOS Apple Silicon and Intel. Package compatibility, native automation acceptance and long-running process recovery are separate questions.
Linux is the primary verified development target. Windows uses AppContainer + Job Object for sandboxed commands; macOS uses the current Seatbelt compatibility backend.
Check feature-specific limits
Complete RepoTunnel process restart reattachment for managed jobs is currently Linux-only. Native desktop accessibility behavior requires native testing on Windows/macOS, and macOS in-app update installation is intentionally disabled pending recovery validation.
Consult the current release notes and platform documentation before advertising full native feature parity.
